Terms of Service
Last updated October 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Eternity (“we”, “us”, or “our”) governing access to and use of the Aeon Discord bot, website, dashboard, APIs, and related services (together, the “Service”). By inviting the bot, signing in to the dashboard, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of a Discord server, organisation, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.
1. The Service
Aeon provides Discord automation and staff tools, which may include moderation and security features, tickets, analytics, onboarding, voice-channel utilities, dashboard configuration, and optional artificial-intelligence (“AI”) features such as AI-assisted server layout planning. Features available to you depend on your plan, guild settings, and Discord permissions.
The Service operates on top of Discord. Discord remains a separate platform operated by Discord Inc. (and affiliates). Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own terms and policies. We do not control Discord’s availability, rate limits, API behaviour, or enforcement decisions.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be old enough to use Discord under Discord’s terms and under the laws of your country. If you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (for example, under 13 in many places, or under 16 in parts of the EU/UK without parental consent where required), you may not use the Service.
Dashboard access is tied to your Discord identity via OAuth. You are responsible for safeguarding your Discord account and for all activity under your authenticated sessions. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your dashboard.
3. Server Administrators and Staff Responsibility
If you add Aeon to a server or configure it in the dashboard, you are responsible for:
- Having permission from the server owner or authorised administrators;
- How staff and permitted members use commands, automations, tickets, logs, and AI features in that server;
- Complying with Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, and Bot Policies;
- Complying with applicable law for your community (including privacy, consumer, and online-safety rules that apply to your server); and
- Providing any notices your members need about your use of bots, logging, moderation, verification, appeals, or AI features in your server.
You act as the controller of personal data you instruct us to process for your server configuration and moderation workflows, except where we determine purposes of processing ourselves as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to allow others to:
- Use the Service for illegal activity, harassment, exploitation, fraud, or to violate others’ rights;
- Use the Service to circumvent Discord safety systems, spam, raid, scrape, or attack other servers or users;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure, except where mandatory law permits;
- Misuse AI features to generate or apply harmful, discriminatory, deceptive, or unlawful server structures, content, or actions;
- Submit prompts or content that include special-category personal data, children’s data, or confidential third-party information you are not authorised to share;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service as a competing hosted offering without our written consent; or
- Misrepresent AI-generated output as solely human-authored where disclosure is required by law or by these Terms.
We may investigate suspected abuse and suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms, Discord’s rules, or applicable law have been violated. Suspension or termination does not entitle you to a refund except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
5.1 Nature of AI Features
Certain features (including AI Builder and any similar planning or generation tools we enable) use machine-learning models operated by us and/or third-party AI providers (for example, large language model APIs). These systems generate suggestions or plans from prompts and server context you provide. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsafe if applied without review.
5.2 Transparency (including EU AI Act)
Where Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the “EU AI Act”) and related UK or other transparency rules apply, you acknowledge that relevant features involve interaction with an AI system and/or AI-generated content. We design AI features so that their AI nature is reasonably apparent from product labelling, command names, UI copy, and confirmations (for example, “AI” branding and plan-review steps). You must not remove, obscure, or disable notices that identify content or plans as AI-generated when presenting them to others.
For AI systems you deploy to end users in your Discord server, you are responsible as a deployer (or equivalent role under applicable law) for any additional notices, accessibility, or risk measures required for your particular use case. Our Terms and product notices are not a substitute for disclosures you may need to give your members at the point of interaction.
5.3 Human Review and Control
AI Builder and similar tools that can change server structure require human confirmation before apply. You must review proposed roles, channels, permissions, renames, and deletions before confirming. Enabling destructive options (delete, rename, permission changes) increases risk; you accept responsibility for choices you confirm.
5.4 No Professional Advice; Prohibited High-Risk Reliance
AI output is assistive only. It is not legal, compliance, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You must not use the Service as a sole or automated decision-maker for matters that law treats as high-risk without appropriate human oversight (for example, decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means where prohibited). Moderation, quarantine, raid, and security tools are configuration-driven automations you control; they are not a guarantee of safety or legal compliance.
5.5 Inputs, Outputs, and Third-Party AI Processors
Prompts, configuration snippets, and related metadata may be sent to subprocessors (including AI providers) to generate results, subject to our Privacy Policy and those providers’ terms. You grant us a limited licence to process inputs and outputs solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service (including abuse prevention and quality). Do not submit secrets, passwords, payment card data, or data you are not allowed to process.
Unless a specific feature states otherwise, we do not warrant that third-party providers will use your prompts to train their foundation models; training and retention are governed by our agreements with those providers and their published terms. We may change model providers or versions without reducing the core functionality commitment of your plan, except where material change requires notice under Section 14.
5.6 Your Responsibility for AI Results
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, disclosing, and applying AI output in your servers. We are not liable for server disruption, permission mistakes, data loss, member complaints, or Discord enforcement arising from AI plans or automations you enable or confirm.
6. Content, Intellectual Property, and Licence
We and our licensors own Aeon, including software, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service as permitted by your plan.
You retain rights in content you submit (prompts, ticket text, configuration labels, custom messages). You grant us a worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you and your servers. You represent you have all rights needed to grant that licence.
Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third parties such as Discord, cloud hosting, databases, payment processors (including Stripe), email providers, analytics, and AI model providers. Their outages, policy changes, or pricing may affect the Service. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, except to the extent we cannot exclude liability under mandatory law.
8. Plans, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
8.1 Credits & Subscriptions
Premium features are unlocked with credits. Credits are sold as a monthly auto-renewing subscription through Stripe: you choose between 150 and 1,200 credits in steps of 50, at a flat rate of $0.02 per credit (for example, 150 credits = $3.00/month). There are no weekly or yearly plans. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
8.2 Immediate Access & Right of Withdrawal Waiver
By completing a payment and requesting immediate access to premium features, digital content, or automated bot capabilities, you expressly request that execution of the Service begins immediately upon purchase. If you are a consumer located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with legal cancellation rights, you acknowledge and agree that you waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal or cooling-off period once the Service or digital content supply has commenced.
8.3 Cancellations & Refund Policy
Payments are final. Fees paid for credits are non-refundable. We do not offer full or partial refunds. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription renewal at any time via the dashboard (Manage plan) or by emailing contact@aeonbot.org. Cancellation stops future renewals; credits already paid for remain usable until the end of the current billing period (paid-through date). After that date, unused credits expire and features that no longer fit your remaining capacity may be revoked.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us promptly at contact@aeonbot.org with your Discord user ID and payment/Stripe reference ID. Contacting support does not create a right to a refund.
8.4 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
A payment dispute (also called a chargeback) is when you ask your bank, card issuer, or payment processor to reverse a charge instead of cancelling through the Service. If a dispute is opened on a credits charge, we will immediately:
- Pause allocations from the disputed credit pool and revoke features that no longer fit your remaining capacity;
- Block your Discord account from further credit purchases while the dispute is open (and permanently if the dispute is lost); and
- Provide transaction logs, IP addresses, usage records, and server delivery logs to Stripe and your financial institution to contest improper chargebacks.
If the dispute is decided in our favour (won), we may restore the paused pool and lift the purchase block. Contact us first at contact@aeonbot.org if you have a billing concern, do not open a chargeback as a substitute for cancellation.
9. Suspension, Termination, and Complaints
You may stop using the Service at any time and may remove the bot from your servers. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, non-payment, chargebacks, legal risk, security incidents, or prolonged inactivity on free tiers.
If you believe we suspended or restricted your access in error, or that we are not applying these Terms consistently, email contact@aeonbot.org with your Discord user ID, guild ID (if relevant), and a description of the issue. We will acknowledge complaints and aim to respond with an outcome or next step within a reasonable period (typically within 14 days for non-urgent account issues). This complaints route does not limit any statutory rights you have.
Content moderation inside Discord servers is primarily controlled by server staff using the tools you configure. Discord, as the underlying user-to-user service, may separately enforce its own rules. We are not Discord’s designated complaints body for Discord platform decisions.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all threats, or that safety, anti-raid, anti-nuke, anti-spam, quarantine, analytics, tickets, or AI features will detect or prevent every incident or produce any particular result.
Discord API changes, rate limits, and outages may delay or prevent actions. We do not guarantee instant adaptation to every Discord platform change.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or non-excludable consumer rights).
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, or goodwill; lost or corrupted data; server downtime; member disputes; or Discord enforcement actions, even if advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the claim, or (b) fifty pounds sterling (£50).
If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, these limits apply only to the extent permitted; your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Eternity and its operators against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your servers’ use of the Service; (b) content, prompts, or configurations you submit; (c) your breach of these Terms or law; or (d) disputes between you and your members relating to moderation, AI-applied changes, logging, or automation you enabled.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Cookie Policy. If you require a data processing agreement for organisational use, contact contact@aeonbot.org.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be indicated on this page and, where appropriate, via dashboard or Discord notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and remove the bot.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer habitually resident in the UK or EEA you may bring proceedings in your local courts and benefit from mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
16. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior conflicting terms for that subject.
